Default Help!! What Can I Fit On My New Rim? 92 Mustang 18x9/10

I am in the process of changing my 1992 Mustang LX Hatchback from a 4 lug to the 5 lug converstion. What I need help on is.. I am purchasing the FR500 rims, 18/9 front and 18x10 rear. What is the biggest tire I can fit on the car without having to cut, bang, and/or bend? I looked up a car on line and it showed a early 90's mustang with this size rim with the 255/35/18 front and 275/35/18 rear. Does this sound right? I now have pony rims with 255/50/16 on the rear and it looks tight. I understand I will need a certain offset.. but what will it be? Anyone that has done this already, please let me know. Thanks!!

should've posted before you bought those wheels my friend. you are going to have a very hard time getting those 18's to fit, especially up front, and especially if the car is lowered at all. 17X9's rub for a lot of guys up front, let alone 18x9's. all i can say is good luck. i don't know of anybody who has 18x9's on a fox. hopefully someone here can help you out.

275/35 would be good if you have a 10inch rim you can put 275's on them

I've seen 18's on a Fox and a lot of fender modifying was necessary. Another thing will be those for the rear. 10 inches wide will rub on either the inner fender or on the quad shock. You'll need to roll the fender lip and if you still have the quads, take them off and reverse them, putting the thick part of the body on the inside of the wheel, not on the tire. You'll gain about an inch of lateral clearance. But if you get the wheel with about 5 1/2 inches of backspacing, you'll have the best chances of getting them in. Still be tight though.

i had 275' 60's in the rear on mine and the only reason why it rubbed on the inner fender thats it was because the sidewall was so large so with 275 35 you should be good
