Every 1 praises the 295/35/18 tire size, but the Nitto 295/45/18 on my Bullitt 18x10inch rears look great. And the biggest thing is that they are loads cheaper than the 35's every discount tire site has that 45 for at least $80 cheaper if not $100. For not much difference... Pic to follow. www.tires.com Nitto 555 295/45/18 z rated $200 per.

I have a similar wheel set up and my tires (295/45/18 in rear; 245/45/17 in front) DID rub in the rear, but only when I had a front passenger and my two kids in the back seat. With a fully loaded car, it was to the point where I had little rubber shavings coming off the tires. Someone suggested bending the "lip" of the fender well inward to allow more room for the rear tires, which look totally boss. Anyone heard of this? I've seen posts about people have 315s in the rear with no rubbing problems, so I'm a little concerned. I'll try to post pics too if I can figure out how to insert one!

Reason: added info
Ya they fit because your car is not lowered it is setting pretty high in the pic. I have 295/35/18's on the rear of my car and they rub when I have one passenger only when I hit a bump, but it rubs a lot worse when I have two passengers. Their is no way I could fit a 45 series.
And the first number is the width, the second number is the profile/sidewall and is the percent of the width in I think cm. So a 315/35 is only going to be a little thicker of a sidewall then 295/35 tires. And yes a lot of drag cars roll the fenders to help from tire rub.

Thanks for the info! It just so happened that I came across a deal on the tires at the Mustang Shootout at Atco last weekend. Otherwise, I probably would've gotten the same size as you. Nice pic of your car!
Ya I actually bought the same tire as you have because of the price and I didn't think it would make that much of a difference, but they wouldn't even fit under my fender. I wish the 35 series was as cheap. I ended up losing $60 because I had to pay to ship them back. I need a set now I still have my toyo proxes on. I think I am going to go with BF goodrich. I wish MT made DR's in 18's.
