Default Reviews on Kuhmo HP4 tires?

I need new tires for my car and someone recommended Kuhmo Solus HP4s. I know nothing about the tires and i looked them up on tire rack but it mentioned HP4 plus and Hp4 716p. I guess the ones i found were 716p although i can't find that written on the tire...anyway does anyone know anything about these tires that they could share with me? Thanks!

I just skimmed tire rack for you, but couldn't find the size you were looking for in those tires. I know nothing about them other that they seem like a cheap tire. I don't think it's up there as far as speed rating either.

What kind of tire are you looking for and in what price range? there wasn't much info on the one that you mentioned.

I don't know about that particulare model, but I've never had problems with Kumho tires. I had them on my 97 Mustang and several sets on my old Camaro. They're inexpensive, but still pretty good.

I ran Kumhos Ecsta 712s for a few summers and they tramrailed a ton! They also broke loose in the rain pretty often even after the intial break-in period when they were still new. They're inexpensive but....just alright in my book.

We've had good luck with the Falkens. I have the 512's, and Jr has the 452's. Good rain tread...... I have about 30k on them, and they're going to have to be replaced soon, but I'm hard on my tires for some reason.

I run Falken RT-615s and I LOVE them!!! They have an awesome tread design and only break in the rain if I want them too. And they have awesome dry traction!!!

Well then whats a good summer performence tire (don't need all season as it doesn't seem to snow much in Alabama) that will last for a long time that is relatively inexpensive? (i know falkens but any others?)

how much are you looking to spend per tire? that's where you should start. For some reputable names I would go with...Toyo, Yokohama, Falken, and Nitto just to name some. These are mid ranged priced tires. Some of the more expensive tires would be Bridgestone, BF Goodrich, Michelin and Pirelli. I feel the former are better bang for the buck and that you're just paying for the name with the latter (esp. Michelin). Bridgestone and BF Goodrich actually put out good tires but are really expensive.

I think you would be looking somewhere in the 360+ treadwear rating for a tire. Those are a harder compound and last longer. I believe mine were 360, and Jr's were in the 280 range because I put more miles on my car. you can find some good performance tires, but cheap is another problem. I think we paid around $320.00 for all 4 corners from discount tire direct.

well i'm fine with anything costing between 75-125 dollars as long as they give good performance, have decent handling in the rain, and esp. last a long time

have you tried tirerack.com? They're a great site that has reviews and ratings on them. You should check there for what you're looking for. There's just so many to choose from. I would go with falken, toyo, yokohama, or nitto.

I love tire shopping...it's like getting new shoes for your car
And you want people to notice them....but no one notices tires (or shoes)
