Default Shopping for new wheels

I have a 2005 Mustang GT and have finally saved up for some new wheels. I am leaning toward the Foose Hornet rims and I like the staggered look so I am thinking 20X8.5 on front and 20X10 on the rear. A local shop suggested a tire size of 245/35/20 on the front and 275/35/20 on the rear. Looking for comments from anyone out there that has this size wheel or has seen this size on the 05 + mustang.

I've seen those sizes before on an S197 and they look good. I'm not familiar with the Foose Hornet wheel but I'm sure they're awesome, plus they'd be different. I applaud when someone does something different than what everyone else is doing.

Bump it up to 255 in the front. Go 255 35 20. I mean its your choice, but in my opinion it looks better

I agree, go with the 255's in the front thats what I have but with a 40 series tire, I'm running a 275 in the back but next time going with 295's, there is plenty of room for the wider tire. I have the Toyo proxes S/T good tire for the money.

Here's a pic where you can see that there's plenty of room to go wider in the back

Shot of Front with 255's, plenty of room with no rubbing, with the 35 series the tire will be just a little shorter and narrower.

Those are pretty awesome, thanks for the advice. I think your right, I am going to look into the 255/40/20 for the front and the 295/40/20 for the rear.

The car looks good and I like the wheels. It seems that a lot of new designs have the fake bolts around the rims.

Supposedly you could even go larger in the back...I was looking on ebay for rims and ran into a place showing 255 35 20 in front and 315 35 20 in rear..I attached a few pics that show them....One pic has stock on left and the 315 on right.... Interesting setup
