Default 17" Rims and lowering my car (1995 Mustang)

I have a '95, as you may notice by my signature and avatar.. Anywho, I want to lower it 2".. I found the lowering springs.. I was wondering if I'd have to change my tire size (they're very low as they are) so the wheel wells don't drop onto the tires.. I don't even know if that's how it works, but I might as well ask.

Also, would all I need is the lowering springs, or would I need to change other stuff also to accommodate to the drop?

My current tire size is 225-45-R17

My front end is lowered 2.0" and I have 275-40-17 (a pretty wide tire). there's a little bit of rubbing and I don't get a full turn radius but it works out fine. I just can't make a 2 lnae-only u-turn. If you have only 225s you probably won't rub. drivability is normal.
