1967 mustang 4 lug wheel choices /where to find???
I have a 1967 mustang coupe with the straight 6.it comes with 14" wheels and narrow tires. I'm looking for an upgrade on the wheels and tires, but it does not look like there are many to any options for this old 4 lug pattern. If anyone can point me in the right direction, i'd appreciate it.. thanks in advance!!!
There aren't a ton of options, but there are a lot more than people think. American Racing makes the OutlawII in 4-lug, as well as the 5-slot mag. Weld makes the autodrag in 4-lug too and Cragar used to make 4-lugs as well, dunno if they still do.
Then there's all the wheels stock and aftermarket for 79-93 Mustangs...all 4-lug. I don't know if they are the same bolt pattern but I've seen 17" Cobra Rs on a red 66 I6 and they look pretty hot.

Hi, thanks for the insight.. I'm thinking of going to 15" with a little lower profile tire.. does anyone out there have pics of a 4 lug 67 in this configuration.. looking for a cool christmas present for my wife.. any info appreciated.. thanks in advance
Thanks for starting this thread as I'm in the same boat. Our 66 is currently in a resto and once the body is done I don't want to go back to the same tired rims that are on there. Currently I have American Racing cheapies very simiilar to the pic marked "Classic". They are rusty and definately past their prime. American Racing: The Official Manufacturer Website of Custom Wheels shows two styles that have the 4 x 4.5 bolt pattern. They are the Outlaw II (mentioned above) and the Ansen style. I like them but I'd sure love to find something in a 14" inch or 15" rim with the 4 x 4.5 pattern and the proper offset. I really like the Torq Thrust style on vintage cars.
Hopefully some others will chime in here to help us out. Pickins' are slim!
Snack
Note that the pics show a 5 lug pattern but the Outlaw II and the Ansen (far right) are available in 4 lug

Just bumping the thread here to see if anyone has any more thoughts. I know we'd all love some more options.

I also have a 4 lug pony and i just baught some rims and i went through some extensive research with some tire guys.
Your only options really are what buddy posted above with pictures.
There are lots of 4x4.5 rims but its the offset you need to worry about, the mustang (in my case 65) can only take an offset of 0- +5 mm
which is stupid rare.
I bought a set of outlaw ii's and there going on tomorow
Hope that helps!

Outlaw ii wheels.
I am looking at taking my mustang back to its orgnial boring wheels. I have some old and worn out American Racing wheels. If you want to part with your wheels when you upgrade let me know.
