Default 2004 Mach 1 Mustang Tires

I was looking for a good all around tire for my stock 04 Mach 1 although I'm not too concerned with a good snow tire as I won't be driving this car in the winter. Treadwear and hookup are my main concerns when purchasing new tires. A buddy of mine has the Yokohama Avid H4S 255/40/17. The treadpattern looks great and they seem to be holding up well and giving him some good traction. What do you guys think I should go with? I don't think I want to go any bigger than 255's as I heard running 275's might cause some problems on stock rims (correct me if I'm wrong). The Yokohama's have a 500 AA A rating which I think is pretty good. I don't want to break the bank with this purchase but just get the best bang for the buck if you will. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance for the replies.

get some nitto555 extreme streets, they wear good ride good and have good wet/dry rating. i have them on the front of my gt and i used to have them on the rear before i got my 315s and i cut 2.0s every time at track with them.

Im biased towards BFG's. I love them! ive had good luck with all of mine, for trucks and cars. Right now im running BFG g-force T/A KDW2's, love them! Best tire ive ever had. I just bought a second set for my new rims i bought for my other Mach 1. Go BFG, youll like them.

I run Pirelli P Zero Nero 275 40 17. My speedo is still dead nuts on and I have NO clearance issues. It looks MEAN MEAN MEAN like its ready to pounce, and it definately improved the handling. They will fit fine.

BFGs are the only tire I have ever had a blow out with. Blew a rear one on one of my Fox 5.0 convertables.
