Default Lowered 1991 Mustang GT front tire scrubbing.

I have a 1991 GT convertible that was lowered before I bought it with Eibach springs. It also has a set of Cobra R rims with 245/45/17 Gforce tires on it. When I got it only scrubbed on a hard turn that compressed the front driverside. It didn't handle very well so I had it aligned and found that the front camber was -2.2 degrees and there wasn't any adjustment left.

So I put a set of caster/camber plates on it and had it realigned to -.60 camber. Now it handles great but now scrubbs some when the driverside tire hits a medium size bump. I noticed that the springs have what looks to be the original rubber isolators. I need to get the front up about a 1/4 - 5/16" at the wheel. I'm considering changing the isolators with new polyureathan isolators in hopes to get that. Anybody found that the new isolators got them that much of a lift? I was told that for every fraction of an inch that I raise at the spring it will be double at the wheel.

Has anybody found a reasonable solution to a similiar problem? The car handles perfect now and looks great but need to solve this issue. I don't want to role the fender and weaken it or go back to stock springs. Any ideas on how I can get the the front up that much? Is there a thicker Isolator I can get to do this?

Thanks in advance!

What's the condition of the front struts, are they aftermarket or factory? If they're factory, they might need to be replaced and I've seen about a 1/2 rise out of putting on new shocks/struts and nothing else. And where does the tire rub, on the inside or the outside of the tire? 245's typically rub on the front.

As far as I know they are original struts. The tire rubs on the outside. It looks to me that if the tire wasn't as wide, I wouldn't have any scrubbing. Thanks for your reply.
