Opinion: what is the best overall tire for a 2006 Mustang GT
Im going to be sticking with the stock 17x8 rims, and have decided to go with a tire that is 255/45/17.
There are so many tires out there that I dont know which to pick. I want to hear through experiences, what others recommend. Id like a tire with good grip in wet and dry, and not be overly loud. I would also like for the tire to last me at least 25K+, preferable 35K. It rains a lot in FL, so having a tire that is all about dry traction and bad in wet traction is something that I need to be aware as well as noise and trend life, before pulling the trigger!
My stock tires dont have wet nor dry traction left in them.. i dont know if i should order the same ones again.. or find a diff set.. the thing is.. im only replacing the rears.. the fronts look brand new.. however the backs look like ive gone 100k on um

haha, my tires have been to hell and back! 2 tires have nail patches, and that big burnout I did recently has honestly put my rear 2 tires miles away from the end of their road!
The tires that Im considering are:
Nitto NT555's
BFGoodrich T/A KDW's
Falken FK 452's
Falken Ziex ZE-512's
Toyo Proxes 4
I would like to order my tires by then end of next month, so Im really interested in any feedback or any other suggested tires
Haha Damn it GTSpeeder13.. get tires and go 2 the trac w/ me and the gang.. its always alot of fun when we all go w/ FAST cars.. but yeah.. 2morrow i might have to run my tires.. not slicks.. so ill let you know how horrible i run lol.. gonna be the slowest my cars hit in history!

I want to wait but i dont think they can really go that long.. but i really love the driving experience with them homemade slicks i have on it .. I slide around everything for fun... go to my friends dads warehouse he lets us use on sundays/ late friday nights.. and just have fun.. and when it rains.. Ahh its soo much better!

I heard negative things about the KDW's tho, making me skepitcal! I love the look of them and I heard there dry performance is as close to a drag radial as you can get, but once in the rain, or on hard turning, they are hard to regain traction once it is lost!
haha, with the control arms, I have no more wheel hop! however, through second gear, power shifting the only effect is dual black stripes on the road. I just loss traction, but dont feel it through the car!
Im going to convince my girl... maybe she can come also!(probably not, shes driving in from SC=400 miles)
She'll drive down the 400 miles.. and then you drive the 30-35mins or w/e it takes you to get there ... haha.. So far, its my friend matt running w/ me.. my friend kristen, she wants to go again.. my boy kel w/ his evo.. waiting to hear on my boy eddie w/ his stage 2 srt4.. and nick w/ the 06 paxton s/c GT..

my friend evan is going, he drives a 02 vette all black. he ran a 12.91 last time I heard
Oh damn, i was gonna say if he runs faster.. he should run my boys evo.. the first three passes at the track he ran 12.5 everytime.. pretty damn consistent for a 17yr old.. esp first car.. hah hes a good driver..

I was just there last night. I would go again but I don't get off work till 8:30. I usually go on Wednesdays as there are less people.
