Default BFG g-Force T/A KWD NT on a 2006 Mustang GT?

Hey everybody.. I am in the process of ordering new tires.. from what ive heard these are good tires.. They claim longer tire life (35K)... and good grip in wet/dry..

BFGoodrich g-Force T/A® KDW NT Tires - Tire Size & Price Details - 1010tires.com

check um out and let me know..

BFG g-Force T/A KWDS are the tires that i have now(that came on the car from factory).. How do my stockers compare to the ones posted above..Also, is it a dumb idea if i buy the rears first b/c the fronts are still perfect..? Will you be able to tell the difference from the side or from the rear that i have different tires on ..?

They are expensive though but worth it I am going to get the 255 45 18 in the y rated I think I actually read in a magazine at a big tire outfit that y and w are actually better than z now.

Check out Tire Rack's rating of the General Exclaim UHP's. Rated #2 behind a Michelin UHP (that's limited in size), for Summer UHP's and they're very affordable too. Once I burn off the Coopers, that will by my next choice.

I have these tires...tirerack.com sells them as KDW 2's (at least that is what they were called when I bought them). I really like them, awesome dry and wet traction - no problem with road noise. They also seems to be wearing well, I have just a little over 9,000 on the car.

I've got the KDW 2's in 20' with the FRPP Handling Pack - the handling is awesome!

Good luck.

Not exactly. Y is rated up to 186, W is 168, Z is 149 and higher.

I have them, and have had them since I switched to 18" rims 24k miles ago.

They are great tires, hold the road well, and the tread is so deep when new that they hardly look worn after 24k miles.

They are nicknamed, rock-throwers, because they pick up every little rock and fling them.

Exospawn.. thats some good info you left me.. I like to hear about after 24k they barely look worn down.. the stock tires are garbage.. even though i beat on them... i waited to see that the tread was running low.. then started killing them... never did a burnout.. ive got 12,XXXmiles on my car.. and the rear tires are past the warning bar... they are done .. the only thing worrying me is the fact that imma have the tires you have on my car in the fronts.. then take my fronts that i have now, and put um to the rear.. kill them off.. and then buy the rest of the new tires.. bad idea?
