jman, what type of paint did you use? Did you airbrush your wheels?
I've really been considering getting the black torqthrust, but if I can paint them...

My Modifications- vintage V8 emblem, shorty antenna(free), 17X9 and 17X10.5 black bullitt rims with 275/40 17 and 315/35 17 tires
Prevous owners modifications- Long tube headers, shorty catted H-pipe, cross drilled slotted brakes, ceramic brake pads, H&R lowering springs, Xenon side skirts and rear facia, 2004 cobra front facia, reversed cobra emblems(removed)

I used duplicolor gloss black engine enamel (spray) and lots of laquer (spray).
If you don't mind. What procedures did you use to paint them. For example, did you strip the paint, or apply any roughing technique, or did you just tape them off and paint?

I first sanded the clearcoat off using 80 grit sandpaper, then again with a finer 600 grit. I didnt do any taping, just stuck a piece of cardboard between the wheel and tire to prevent overspray.

I really like them. Not sure I like them on a black car (though the Vette someone posted earlier is bad as hell), but it still looks pretty good. I never thought of painting, but have always wanted black rims.
