Yes, I know it is sacarlidge (sp) but I have no choice but to drive my 2002 Mustang GT in the winter. I have done well in the past just by washing it very often, but I would really like to get a set of 4 cheap steel wheels to put snow tires on. One of the things that I love about this Mustang is the Bullit style wheels and I would like to at least keep them inside for the winter, and I know from past experience that snow tires do help a lot when driving in the snow. I have tried google searches, e-bay ( I keep checking back often), and some local junkyards with no luck. A co-worker got a set localy, but they were $1200.00, I would like to come out a little cheaper than that for wheels I intend to abuse.

Try a set of cheap steel wheels... like the old "wagon spokes." I can find them all over for around $40.00 each (think 4x4 "look" wheels). Try US Steel, Cragar, etc for cheap ones. Any local tire store can set you up. They look kind of ugly in white but can be painted very easily to look much better and they work well for your use.
