Ok, my car was bought in the end of may, 06 brand new, full warranty. I have 6600 miles on my car and today the rear right tire blew out, the entire belt was left on the rim and the rest of the tire disconnected. Their the stock pirell pzero nero 255/35 vr17, should something like this be covered?

My dealer warrantied mine after a blow out! Worth a try!

i think that it should be under warranty. I mean, thats not a lot of miles at all and its well under the 3 year 36k miles plan. I say its worth a trip to the dealer.

Tire warranty by the dealer was an extra cost addition when I bought my '08 at the dealer. I turned it down, we'll see how that works out.
You might also try Pirelli if the dealer won't help.

One of my tires was out of round from day one. after several trys for them to determine what the issue was, another dealer found it was, out of round, but could not replace it because the tire was 13 months old (1,300 miles) and it carries a 12 month warrantee.

After much arguing with the purchase dealer, they replaced it, like they did me a favor (imo-they can drop dead). (of course they have lost any of my future business, in fact Ford has lost also).

So if you have a good dealer, they will replace it, if not, then just be presistant.

You should have received a separate tire warranty card in with your owners manual & associated paperwork. Ford is off the hook. You'll need to contact the tire manufacturer.

We have that ins. on our car that replaces the tire, or the rim as well, in case of damage. Not sure of all the details on it yet, but will learn. Any one else have this ???
