Default Rims and tires for 1965, Any Suggestions?

I am looking to outfit my coupe with original styled wheels with BF Goodrich rubber, but I am at odds with sizes. The wheels are available in 14" and 15", and I'll probably go with 14", but but I can get the wheels in 5-8".

Which brings me to the tires.

Any suggestions?

I currently have front drums. By looking at this chart, I may have to change wheel or tire size if I decide to go front disks. Am I reading too much into this?

Just bear in mind that 14' tires are getting harder and harder to get. Soon the choices will be VERY limited.
I'd go at least 15", and if the rims were REALLY expensive I might want to consider 16" rims.
Good luck,

No, many disc brake upgrades require 15 inch rims, so do not and can be used a stock 14 inch rim. You just have to select the upgrade carefully

I'd definetly go with a 15 inch rim. I used to run 245/50/14 BFG's on the back of my '65 coupe (rolled the fender lip), now I can't seem to find anything bigger than a 225/60/14. Even tire choices for the 15's are getting slimmer than they used to be 10 years ago, but at least there are more options for now than there are for the 14's.
