235/45/17 is fine for a 17x8 rim. I'm running 245/45/17 on my stock rims. You speedometer will read a little fast, but can easy be adjusted if you have a Diablo Predator or similar programmer.

stock bullet wheels are 17x8 and so are the 5 spoke double bard wheels. The fan blades are 18x8.5 and im not sure of the polished 18" billet wheels, but I would think that they are the same 18x8.5. Im not sure what wheels you have, but that should help enough.

I would recommend a 255/50/17.

245/45/17 has a load capactiy of 1233 lbs. @ 32psi

Diameters roughly (varies from manufacture)
235/55/17 = 27.2"
245/45/17 = 25.7"

I don't know on the SCT. On my Predator I just enter my gear ratio (i.e. 3.55) and revs per mile (i.e. 811) for the tires. It does the math which would be 2879 driveshaft turns per mile.

my rims are 17x8's. besides there are no rims offered by the factory that are 17x9. the only thing close would be GT500 rims which are 18x9.5.

I think on mine it asked for the revs per mile, but until now that didnt make any sense what so ever, haha...

Yes the SCT can adjust the speedometer. If you look in the Tech Link there is instructions there on the SCT.

No problem lowering with that size.
