Hey guys, I am getting ready to buy some tires as my toyo proxes 4 are getting pretty bald. I have no choice but to drive my car during the winter. I normally dont drive it when its terrible but normally im on the road nearly 90% of the winter. This time around I want a good all season tire thats affordable. Any ideas? I have 410 gears also. Thanks!

I don't know about the Nitto in the winter, they may be okay, but there has to be a better substitute. I would try doing maybe looking for a set of used 14" or 15" rims that fit your bolt pattern. You can then find used winter tires for cheap. This would be a lot less exspensive than getting a new pair of summer tires that could leave you wrecking your baby. I have a friend that uses studded tires on his 5.0. Why not buy a beater with a heater. You can find a running car for $500 these days. I bought a '94 Explorer Sport with 150,000 miles on it for $1500. After a weekend tune-up and a new 4WD actuator ($80 on ebay) I have a good running work and winter truck. I kkep the miles off my stang, and keep it from ever seeing sodium chloride (road salt) Try looking in the paper, and many banks and credit unions have a buy-sell mag. Hell, even ebay has cars for cheap. I have a good friend that buys at least 3-4 Dodge neons a year on Ebay. He says that it is always a $20-$150 part that makes it run like a champ.
If you want to or not, that's cool, but keeping miles and salt off your ride is always a good thing.
