Question Bullitt wheel differences

Good evening all,

I have looked at many styles of wheel and just like bullitt wheels the best. I'm going to pick up a wheel and tire package in late January. I like the Mostorsport 454 by Wheel Replica and the bullitt wheel American Muscle sells. How may brands are out there and is one better than another...weight, quality and things like that.

Any suggestions on brand and best place to buy?

P.S. Will a 20 inch wheel really rob 10 hp due to size? Thanks!

I purchased the Deep Dish Chrome Bullitts from American Muscle (18x9's and 18x10's) and they're sitting here next to me in the garage awaiting the arrival of my '08 GT.

Since they're not on the car, I can't give you any input on performance, but I can tell you that the machining on them is not the greatest -- not anything that most people would notice, but definitely not up to the level of some of the better aftermarket rims that are out there.

However, pricewise they're a pretty good deal -- the guy at Discount Tire that I talked to when I was shopping for rims was aware of them and told me to go ahead and buy them because he couldn't even touch them as far as price went.

Also, the Pony Center Caps I ordered from American Muscle arrived all scuffed up, so I returned them. They are an actual Ford part (#1R3Z-1130-AA) so I just went to my local Ford dealer and ordered a set from them. They arrived in perfect condition in their own box and were only a couple of dollars more expensive than the American Muscle ones.

I've got Bullitt's and think they look great.

I ordered the Bullitt grill from American Muscle and when I got it, it looked like crap. The ends were scuffed and the bars were bent. I sent it back almost a month ago and still haven't been credited my refund. Anyone else have a bad experience with AM?

Thanks guys!

I think I'll purchase from Wheel Replica then.

There 454's look nice and the quality is supposed to be top notch. Not sure if that is the case though.

They also have some 20" black chrome FR500 that I would love to see on a 2005 +. I searched but didn't find any pictures. I have a white 07 so they may look badass.....then again maybe not. I know for a fact that the chrome bullitt's look good. Ahhh choices!

I just wanted to say I have the exact same set up as you, 18 inches/deep dish and 10 inch in the back, 9 in the front, and i got the pony caps. Atleast someone has the same taste as me

Ahhh, 18" deep dish! Sounds good to me, whether its chrome rims, pizza, or apple pie.

I have the black DD from American Muscle. Can't really beat the price with mounting and shipping included.

You're the first I've heard who had a problem with them. Keep us posted on the progress.

Hmmm, my Discount Tire guy beat the American Muscle price on bullitt rims when I took in the printout of my shopping cart from American Muscle, at least on the 18x10 anthracite rims.
