Default What are some of your opinions about NT555?

I'm getting the 17x 10.5 bullitts to give the mustang for christmas. I was going to order them today from americanmuscle.com but the sumitomos they sell for that rim are out of stock for 5 or 6 weeks. should I go with the NT555's?

They're gonna look so sexy on the stang. I can't wait. Thats why I'm tempted to just buy the nittos.

Kids, What rpm do you launch when dragging?

Without suspension upgrades, you will get too much wheel hop above 2500-3000. I ran that time in my sig with stock suspension, 15 psi and dumping @ 2500. With upper and lower control arms and 90/10 drag shocks you should be able to dump @ 5k.

You should get about 5 to 7k even with several track passes. Look at it this way. A regular tire is going to last about that long because of all of the spinning. Trust me, you will love them.

are you wanting them for a street/track tire or just a radial for the track? my 2 cents would be for a track tire to get the nitto nt01's they wouldnt last long on the street but at the track i wouldnt have anything else man there great

ya see I don't go to the track but maybe 4 times a year at the most. So I don't think that they will be too practical for every day use. thats why i wanted to see if anyone knew how long they would last on the street.

It all depends on your driving habits. Light em up all the time, and they will go fast.

In average Mustanger driving (ie, aggressive but not crazy) you can get 6-8000 miles out of a pair of Nitto dr's.

Say a new pair every 5 months if you drive 15000 miles per year.

A thought: Hit ebay and find a used pair of wheels with DR's for cheap, and use them only on track days.

I figure I'm going to get sumitomos from tire rack they're cheaper by 100 dollars for the pair. So with that 100 I can have them shipped, mounted, and balanced.T hen put the nittos on my stock rims for the track later.
