Default What kind of tires?

I now have about 35k miles on my stock tires, they are getting to the ware bars. I'm looking for a good road tire, I do more highway driving than anything else. I live in the Chicagoland area, so its gona see A LOT of snow. Any ideas or recomendations on tires?

Thank you,

Jonny

What kind of car/year, and what size tires are you running now?
Is a dedicated snow tire out of the question?

Now I feel like an idiot.....I didt see that I did not post the tire size. Its a 2004 V-6 with 225/55-16, stock Goodyear Eagle LS. They are about done now, I am not really that happy with them. Seemed like any amount of water would make them unhappy. As for a set of snows, I would like them, but I can't afford them at this point. A nice set of daily driver tires would be fine by me.

Thanks again,

Jonny

Eagle LS's suck. They were originally designed for Lexus, not a Mustang.
