Bracket 2 final, racing a Roadrunner at the original Irwindale quarter mile track in So Cal. ET 11.50, 120mph. Motor was a 454 side oiler, Medium Riser heads, single 850 DP, C6 2800 stall, 4.57's, Hooker Headers. There were a number of CJ's running around So Cal at that time, all turning mid 11's to mid 12's.
First time out with the stock 428, 500 lift cam, headers and cheater slicks it ran mid 12's at 110! I don't know why the Chevy magazines couldn't find one that ran quicker than 13.20!
