This Promotion singles out Mustang Owners; enticing them to bring back their (Quote) - “Mustangs The Most Popular Car In History”.
… Ford Asking a Specific Car Owner to trade-in their Vehicle on a Specific Model was definitely not typical for Factory Dealer Literature. The statement in this that (Quote) “Your MUSTANG - The Hottest Selling Used Car In Its Class” & “Everybody Wants a Mustang”; all these statements show what America was experiencing at the time; the Mustang and Shelby phenomenon. The Performance 1965 and 66 Mustang and Shelby’s were actually increasing in value due to their popularity and demand. Ford wanted these Mustangs back in their Lot to ‘Wheel & Deal’ and at the same time keep the sales up on their New High Performance Cars.
