This 1999 laser red metallic Saleen Mustang S351 coupe has charcoal leather interior, carbon fiber accents, silver wheels with 10" rear wheel option and silver graphics. It was originally produced as a Saleen Inc Press vehicle and is one of a kind with these colors and options.
This Mustang is serial #3 of only 45 produced. It has a six speed manual with a 3.55 torsen equipped rear axle. powered by a 5.8l 351 cube Windsor v8 supercharged engine, producing 495 horse power and 490 lb. ft. torque. It was used for EPA certification tests and has a unique evaporative emissions cooling system routed through ductwork in the truck. 1999 was the last year Saleen built the S351 model and the last year the 351 Windsor engine would appear in any Mustang. The passenger side dash under the trunk lid and the included original window sticker, all sport Steve Saleen's autograph. The vehicle is also very well documented including a letter of authenticity from Saleen Inc.
This Mustang was featured on the cover of the May 1999 issue of Motor Trend magazine and has won numerous awards.
