1965 FORD MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE * K CODE * RANGOON RED * 289 HI PO WITH 271HP * 4 SPEED TRANSMISSION * Previously owned by Gunnar and Matthew Nelson (sons of movie/tv star, composer, singer Ricky Nelson). This factory high performance Mustang has been completely restored and is one of the finest K-Codes in existance.
The rotisserie restoration included a complete rebuild of the high performance engine. This is a numbers matching car with the VIN located in the block and transmission case. The car has received numerous awards for its meticulous restoration which included five coats of color-sanded rangoon paint applied over rust-free sheet metal. A three-page color article in Mustang Illustrated (copies included) featured the car.
The car also appeared on the Speed Channel having been taped at the Barrett-Jackson offices in 2004 and has also been seen in "Phoenix Life" magazine. Just over 1,000 miles have been lgged since the restoration was completed.
