This is my first Restomod Mustang project. Thanks to this site, I've received alot of information for this build. I had always liked Mustangs, but never thought to own one, especially a classic. To make a long story short, I will fast forward to this day and share a few pictures of my pride and joy. These are the modifications on this car so far. Exterior: 3” rise fiberglass cowl induction hood, R-model style front apron with spoiler, ground effects kit, spoiler trunk lid, GT-350 Shelby side stripe, GT-350 gas cap, and fresh coat of paint and rally stripes. Suspension – Front: Grab-a-Trak upper and lower control arm, Grab-a-Trak polyurethane spring perch, Grab-a-Trak 620 coils, SPAX 28 point adjustable gas shocks, all new steering linkage with TCP tie rod ends, Grab-a-Trak 1 1/8" front sway bar, chrome shock tower caps, and new strut rods with polyurethane bushings. Suspension – Rear: Grab-A-Trak performance leaf spring kit and components, Grab-a-Trak 3/4" sway bar, air shocks, 1” lowering kit, and Lakewood traction bars. Exhaust: Torque step Hedman hedders, Flowtech purple hornies glass packs, 2 1/2 pipes, and Silver Line exhaust tips out the side. Interior: Stock front bench seat, new upholsteries and carpets. Engine: 289 bored 0.030 over, Comp Cams, Ford Racing roller rockers, 302 heads, Edelbrock Performer 289 intake, Holley 4v 670 cfm carb, Mallory distributor, MSD wire and coil, NGK spark plugs, Ford Racing air cleaner and valve covers/breather caps, Ford Racing oil pan/dip stick, Edelbrock polished high performance water pump, Tuff Stuff polished 110 amps 1 wire alternator, Pro Race harmonic dampner, March Performance serpentine pulley system, aluminum radiator, Flex-A-lite lowboy electric fan, and Monte Carlo brace bar. Transmission: T-5 conversion, Ford Racing king Cobra clutch kit, Ford Racing billet steel flywheel, and Hurst shifter. Other modifications include and not limited to shortened drive shaft, rebuilt 8" rear. Wilwood disc brakes front and rear, Wilwood master cylinder with proportioning valve, American Racing Torque Thrust wheels 15x7 front and 15x7.5 rear with 205-45-15 front and 245-50-15 rear. There's a few minor upgrades I didn't mention, but these are the bulk of it. I would say about 90% of parts have been replaced. To get my car to this stage took a lot of dedication. Believe me this build was not smooth sailing at all. I had encountered little problems here and there, but with patience, research, and a shop manual I was able to fix them. I'm happy with the results so far. This car sounds awsome and drives well. I absolutely love driving it every chance I get and it’s never enough. The best thing about it is, I don’t even have to drive fast, just cruising around is pure satisfaction. And when I need the power it’s there and ready to be awaken………
