This picture was taken back in the mid-70's at the original Irwindale, California 1/4 mile drag strip. Car ran 11.50 @ 120 in this picture, but had a 454 stroker FE, .500 D cam, Medium Riser heads, C6, 4.57's, 10.50/28 slicks, Hookers.
Car ran mid 12's at 110mph first time out with cheater C6, slicks, headers and 4.11's. Lots of CJ Mustangs around So Cal were turning times anywhere from the mid 11's to mid 13's at the time. Seems like the Chevy oriented magazines missed that in their write-ups.
