1968 Shelby GT500KR Ford Mustang Fastback. King of the Road (KR) edition with 54,010 miles in forest green, like the car Steve McQueen drives in the movie "Bullit." Car comes with original much-sought-after 428 Ram-Air Cobra Jet engine and C6 automatic transmission with power disc brakes, power steering and factory A/C. This Shelby is one of only 235 with auto trans and factory air. They were the fastest production vehicles made during their day with superb handling, braking and acceleration. Car also has under hood suspension bracing, and staggered rear shocks to prevent wheel hop and axle windup. Less than 500 miles since full rotisserie restoration. This is a 99% original sheet metal car. The car had 3 previous owners, and was always garage-kept. Car has original letters and emblems on the outside. Inside is in great shape with all original deluxe black interior with fold-down rear seat and tilt-away steering column. Runs and drives great! Car can be found in the Shelby Registry.
There were only 933 GT500KR fastbacks made in 1968 and this is one of them!
