1966 Ford Mustang Coupe,V8, Auto, PS, PB Excellent throughout
Original matching numbers, black-plate California Mustang coupe in its original Wimbledon White with black interior. The car was painted about four years ago and has a couple of chips. All brightwork is very good. Interior is excellent throughout including dash, seats, carpet, headliner, door panels, etc. The mechanicals are all in perfect working order apart from the horn, which doesn’t seem to want to work. The car was ordered highly optioned, equipped with factory AC, power steering, power brakes, and centre console.
The original 289ci V8 runs perfectly, and retains its original smog equipment, the C4 Auto transmission shifts smoothly, brakes, suspension and steering work as they should. The car has upgraded twin exhausts and a radio/CD player in the dash.
The body is very straight with all the original panels. There is no rust in the original floors, trunk, shock towers, frame rails, quarter panels or the bottom of the doors. Panels fit well and doors, trunk and hood close properly.
This is a very nice, exceptionally clean, unmolested original example of an America icon.
