Hello, was the block cracked at all when it was over heated.
By what you know about this block what needs to be replace besides cylinder 4,8 . How much are you looking to get for it?

Let me know if you would want to sell just the stroker kit. I have no use for the block or other parts, so I wouldn't want to pay to ship all the extra weight down to Philly!

I actually bought this engine!
I drove 3 hours up to NY and picked it up!
The next day I took the stroker kit out of the block and found out that the pistons were NOT forged and neither was the crank!
Not only were there 2 bad pistons like the guy said, but there was a total of 5 pistons that were trash!!
2 of them were chipped at the vavle relief, 2 others were cracking at the valve relief, and 1 had a gouge out of the top of it!!
The guy also said that there was never any nitrous on this engine, but I know what pistons look like after they've been sprayed with nitrous and they definitely look like it took ALOT when it was still running!!
Now I have to buy 8 new pistons (good forged pistons), and have to get the crank rebalanced.... not too happy!!
All n All I only paid $400 for the short block, but I would have rather spent more money on something better!!!!

How much for the short block? I am very interested since I planned on pulling my motor over the winter anyway, but if the price is right I can buy yours and start doing the work now. Let me know if there is any other damage besides the 2 pistons you stated, and let me know what parts you have "laying around" . Maybe we could do some kind of a package deal. I would drive up there to pick everything up.
