Description:
|
Hawk Performance HP PLUS compound can take the heat at the Track and get you home safely without having to change your brake pads in and out. This compound was designed for the serious street and autocross enthusiast. Warning! Due to the dramatic friction levels produced by this product to achieve "race-level" braking; rotor wear, noise, dust, and pad wear may be increased.
Features Include:
Extremely high friction output
Race worthy for autocross
Race worthy for club racing events
Elevated temperature resistance
For more aggressive drivers, this dual purpose pad is a compromise design suitable for street use and some open track use. This pad has a higher coefficient of friction than the HPS pad. The optimum operational temperature range is 100-800 degrees F and, for short periods of time, up to 900 degrees F. Expect more dust and some noise in exchange for better braking.

Pros:
|
Much shorter stopping distance and better bite.
|
|
Cons:
|
Noise and dust which is expected from a semi-race pad.

Installed on my 89LX with Cobra brake 5-Lug conversion. Overall these pads provided improved stopping distances and pedal feel. Some squeeking and brake dust which is to be expected. I'm putting these on all my cars from now on!
