Description: Edelbrock water pumps provide maximum cooling for the street and the race track. They’re ideal to prevent overheating in street rods and street machines, as well as in tow rigs and motorhomes. Using state-of-the-art racing technology, Edelbrock has designed these “super cooling” water pumps to provide maximum flow, maximum pressure and equal distribution to both sides of the block within 1%. Available for most popular applications, these high-performance pumps flow in only one direction for optimum efficiency. The casting’s computer-designed internal passages and CNC-machined cast iron impeller produce the maximum flow rate possible.

Features include: aircraft industry clearances; heavy-duty 3/4" bearings and billet steel hubs. Chevrolet water pumps that may be used in race applications have a unique O-ring that provides a far superior seal than conventional gaskets.

Pros: Problem solver
Cons: None

I had a severe cavatation problem with my newly
rebuilt 5.0. Excessive pressure would remain in my cooling system overnight. Thought it was mabe
blown head gasket or crack. Then my heater core
blew out. If you have any of these type problems,
you may need to check this out.
P.S. This pump replaced a brand new import knock
off FORD pump. 'Nuff said

Pros: Keeps it cooler!
Cons: polishing yet another part

When my stock pump finally passed out from exhaustion, I had to step up. The Edelbrock does what it's supposed to. It pushes more volume for more adequate cooling. Nuff said.
