The D.S.S. 4.6 MODular TM. is a high performance low cost alternative to a stock rebuild or a factory crate motor. We recommend this engine for street/ strip, daily driven, low maintenance, moderate horsepower applications. Capable of making over 700 horsepower with nitrous or boost, however we recommend that you limit total horsepower to around 400 (mid-low 11 ’s @3200 lbs). For applications over 400 horsepower see our Pro MODULAR TM. & Super MODULAR TM. 4.6 engine combinations.
Block: NEW Production 4.6 block,with new metric oil galley and freeze plugs installed. Crank: Production 6 bolt crankshaft; prepped, balanced to racing tolerances. Rods: Production Race Prepped Rods with SPS high strength rod bolts, balanced to racing tolerances. Pistons: Custom forged flat top, Balanced to racing tolerances. (Other optional compression ratios available) Rings: Severe duty Speed-Pro moly rings. Bearings: Federal Mogul Tri-Metal rod and main bearings.
