Description:

Our "Emission Compatible" style headers are designed to bolt directly to the Mustang stock exhaust. 1985 or earlier models must utilize the 1986 or later exhaust and transmission crossmember. Part numbers 6128HKR, 6129HKR, 6131HKR, 6132HKR and 6844HKR are 50 state legal headers (C.A.R.B. E.O. & #D-164-7) when used on the applications listed below.
The equal length tuned designs, are built from durable 1-5/8" diameter 16-gauge tubing, and will provide the maximum horsepower and torque available from your engine while retaining stock exhaust and emissions equipment. Tuned equal length headers are designed to create an optimum pressure balance between the intake and exhaust system. Large 1-5/8" diameter "Emission Compatible" replacement headers will reduce unwanted backpressure increasing horsepower and torque in the low to mid R.P.M. range when compared to the stock manifold. Built from 16-gauge tubing for durability, our replacement "Emission Compatible" header is a great buy if it meets your needs.
All our "Emission Compatible" headers work with Holley, GT40, Dart, J302, TFS Twisted Wedge (street) or Edelbrock heads with standard exhaust location and come with a black baked-on high heat resistant paint finish or with our high luster Metallic Ceramic Thermal Barrier Coating.

Pros:
easy Bolt on with no leaks
Cons:
cost...all headers are to high new anyway

Great headers that run very cool under the hood. Bolted right up without any problems and no leaks from day one or after 15000 miles. I installed them myself in the garage.
