Professional Products new Typhoon intake system for the 4.6L Ford Mustang is a really sensational manifold. Developed in conjunction with one of the leading Mustang specialists, this manifold has been chassis dyno proven to produce 21.5 more rear wheel hp than a stock manifold at 6,500 rpm. More torque from 4,000 rpm on up. This manifold features a three piece design that allows easy access to the bottom and the middle of the plenum chamber along with the runners for those who want to do their own additional port and plenum fine tuning. The manifold is a bolt-in replacement for all 1999 to 2004 engines and uses the stock alternator and all other stock engine accessories. Can be used on 1996-'98 engines if 1999 or later heads are used. For additional 4.6L 2-V enhancements that will substantially improve the power and performance.

Pros:	Good insurance for nitrous / looks good
Cons:	Makes little or looses horsepower

My 2002 GT has many bolt ons w/ cams making 291 HP @ 298 Torq. at the wheels before the typhoon power plus intake install. After the Typhoon intake install the power was almost identical until 3800 RPM then......dropped power resulting in 280 HP @ 276 Torq. We tried numerous adjustments to A/F and to timing and this is the best we could get (on a dyno) btw. After speaking with the shop I got my cams from they had similar experience with the manifolds making little or no power. I contacted Pro. Prod. and they were no help at all. I could live with the same HP but I can't live with the loss. Not worth the trouble.

Pros:	good for centrifical blower/turbo
Cons:	used on a N/A car

2002 mustang with 4.6 stroker (5.0) with 32 valve 04 cobra heads stage 3 port, ford GT cams, jlt high boost cold air kit, whipple 3.4 ran at 21 psi (still low enough boost for pump gas) Kooks stepped longtubes and full 3" exhaust,mono blade throttle body, t56 viper spec tranny, twin disk spec clutch, sumped fuel tank, 8-an lines with twin 255's, 80lb injectors and all of cooling system upgraded. Thats just the performance mods.
