Install The Tri-Ax is extremely easy to install. Some basic tools will make the install a snap, and the Steeda instructions are through and consise. One tip is letting the car cool down prior to install as a hot tranny is not a pleasant environment to work on. Looks Well, it looks just great. It is precision machined and had a killer shine to it....Too bad you will not show it as it gets covered up by the shifter boot. Performance It does exactly what Steeda says it would do. It shortens the throw considerably. It has an adjustable height handle and it accepts any knob. The horrifying factory 2-3 shift worries dissapear with this shifter. It smacks the gears in perfectly Cons. If you have this shifter,(like many others) you will notice a bit of a white noise, which is due to the lack of insulation that is provided by the factory shifter (insulation adds to the factory rubbery and sloppy feel) one way to defeat that is to purchase a aftermarket insulated shift knob. Heat is completely tolerable as it just gets a little bit worm if you have a billet shifter knob, but is non existent with an insulated or a stock factory knob
