This is the FULL 3" System. Most are 2.5". You Wouldn't think that a 1/2 inch would make such a difference in the size of the pipe, but it does. This thing is huge.
I bought this 3" system because they were out of the 2.5
The install is very easy because MAC made the connections with a rounded almost socket like fitting. Very easy to put together. And no leaks after 1 year.
I must say, the biggest draw back to this system is it's size. In some area's there is less the 1/8th inch clearance on BOTH sides. It took about 10 adjustments after running system hot, then cold, etc to get it to stop rattling in some spots. If you don't have the patience for this, then don't get this system.
Here is why I love this system. The sound!! It is the deepest sound I have ever heard on a Mustang. And I have almost every other system. If you have ever heard a Big Block Ford, such as the 427 Cobra, and loved it. You will love this system. Muscle car sound all the way. Let me tell you, people STOP and their mouths drop when they hear you roll by. Sounds very mean. You roll up next to an import with this exhaust, and I swear you can hear the wimper from their car saying "please don't hurt me".
OK! So, you know I love the sound! I'm not sure if it is because it is the "3 system or not, but I will only buy this system again. I may even buy an extra to keep in my garage, just in case they ever stop making it. I love it that much. After 1 year, there are no leaks, rust and the sound is the same. It does have a Drone at 2200rpm on my 98 Cobra. I like it, but if you don't like drone or loud exhaust, then you won't like this system.
If it weren't for the fit issues, I would have rated it at a 10

When you have a few Mustangs like me, add in a lawn mower and other equipment, I just decided I needed to add a professional shop charger to my tool list.
This baby does it all. Like an Air Compressor, I find that once you have a tool like this, you wonder why you waited so long to get one. Going down to the local repair shop to have a battery fast charged in hurry is a pain. And waiting for AAA to come jump start you when a family member leaves the inside lights in the car, resulting in a dead battery, just when you need to go some place is also a nightmare. This charger has an Jump Start feature. Just roll it out to the car, give it a jump and you are off.
Well worth having.

What can I say, when something better comes along I switched over from the Battery Minder to the Schauer to keep my 98 Cobra's battery in top shape during the winter.
It's nice to get in the car after being in storage and not have to worry about the battery being fresh or have to pay for a new one. Plus, it conditions the battery every time you plug in the charger so the battery cranks better.
I used the kit that came with the charger to permenently mount the cable on my battery and then ran it down to the front of the car. Now all I have to do is plug it in everytime I pull my car into the garage. No lifting the hood to put clamps on the battery.
Good Stuff!

Everyone has an opinion about clutches, so when it was time change out my King Cobra Clutch, I did a LOT of research. What I found was that the guys who made serious HP all used SPEC clutches. Most of them like me, went through several of the popular King Cobra and Centerforce clutches before realizing there must be something better on the market.
I found that SPEC was in all the high Horse Power Mustangs. Myself, I didn't want chatter because I drive mostly on the street, but I wanted enough clutch to hold 500hp at the flywheel.
Since I have installed the Spec Stage 2 plus in my 98 Cobra, I got exactly what I wanted. Don't get me wrong, if you let it TO SLOW it will chatter just a little. As it is a performance clutch. But learn to drive it the right way and when you drop the hammer, you know all the power is getting to the ground. The peddle feel is not to heavy, just a little more then the King Cobra.
This was the best choice I could have made and I couldn't be happier. This is a serious clutch for serious horsepower, but without all the draw backs of other clutches in the same catagory.

This is an easy install and well worth the investment. I bought mine from Ampperformance.com as they had it advertised for $229 in all the magazine ads and they charged me $289. I don\'t recommend using those people for anything and I should have gone directly to C&L for $269.
The system itself made a huge peformance gain. C&L shows dyno charts for my car around 16rwhp and I believe it. No idle or airfuel mixture problems.
The only negative is the mounting of setup. It is not very secure, but it will not go anywhere. A minor issue, but it kept them from earning a 10 instead of 9 from me.
I highly recommend this product!

As I mentioned in my review of the BatteryMinder charger/maintainer, the SureGuard is a Meter that mounts on top of the battery.
It works good and seems to be accurate. It looks really cool!
Tells you if the alternator is charging, the condition of the battery, etc.
It's nice to know the electrical is all working well, but I think the best thing about this product is that it protects your electrical system.

I am very pleased that I can now store my cars and not have a dead battery when I bring them out in the spring.
You can leave the batteryminder hooked up all winter long.
I tried this thing on a battery I thought was sulfated and it really did bring the battery back. They say it won't work on a badly sulfated battery, but even if it doesn't, it is worth the price to never have a dead battery again and the smart charging works very well.
It worked so well, that I convinced the company I work for to start selling them.
What really makes it a bargain is the SureGuard battery guage that you get along with the charger. It's pretty cool. It mounts right on top of the battery and the meter tells you what the battery charge is, as well as the how the cars charging system is doing. Looks cool!
