How’s this for a bit of topical history, the last time the Chicago Cubs won the World Series, Henry Ford was revolutionizing the world.
Debuting on October 1, 1908 the Model T aimed to mobilize the masses with Henry Ford’s innovative new assembly line, which lowered the cost of manufacturing to a point that anyone could afford a new motor coach, not just the wealthy.
Starting just north of $825– $22,000 in 2016 dollars– which is 35 percent less than the $35,000 average cost of a new car today.
Fast forward ten years and more than half the cars on American roads were Ford Model Ts.
