Anyone run Convertible motor mounts with a QA1 K member?

So im not running a conventional setup but figured id ask you guys...the motor doesnt seem like its sitting right in the k member and im looking for advice.
Im doing a 2.3t turbo coupe motor swap in a 89 notchback that has a QA1 k member rack in it. I obtained a 2.3 mount and 5.0 mount combo deal thats from a convertible at least thats what im told. I may have gotten the sides mixed up im quite sure at this point. I was also told the mounts from a 2.3 and 5.0 are the same? I installed them in what I thought was the correct sides and attempted to install the motor.
Maybe you guys can clear up exactly what I have first of all, are they convertible 5.0 mounts mixed with 2.3 brackets and would they work on a QA1 K member?
Secondly I found that my mounts had a small bump on one side that didnt allow it to sit flush so I ground it flat and the other side had a small tab on it which I ground down a bit. Seems like the mounts sat flat on the K member afterwards.
However its not sitting perfectly center in the k member. Maybe with some finagling I can manipulate the motor enough to get it center but again it didn't feel right.
