My flow masters are about to fall off. Thanks New England winters. Any opinions on what i should go with? I liked the flow masters. Any opinions on Pypes brand? Thanks.

Living in New England and its winters, nothing will survive except maybe stainless steel.

I second Borla, especially since you're in areas that have salted roads. I had Borla Stingers on my 06 and have had Borla Touring on my 07 since I threw the old Flowstoppers away that were on it when I bought it in 2014.

One of the hangers broke on my axle back, and I contacted Borla. They asked for the usual, receipts, address, contact informations, etc and pictures of the mufflers. Within two weeks, I had a new set of Borla mufflers shipped to my door at no cost to me.

That kind of service is second to none, and I'm a lifetime Borla customer now after having dealt with nightmares from warranties with other companies.

Current:

Borla items are expensive but this is one case where you do get what you pay for, and that's top quality.

Yep, if you don't want it to rust out again, stainless is the way to go; there are several manufacturers that offer stainless, including Borla, Magnaflow, FRPP, and others.

I have the FRPP FR500S aka KR mufflers and have driven the car a little bit during Massachusetts winters (not through the whole season) and they are holding up great. I have heard that these are rebranded Borla but I am not sure if that is correct. They are a bit pricey . . . but likely the last mufflers you will need to buy.

I think I saw a set on Craig's List in Massachusetts recently, might be worth a look. CL is a great way to save a lot of money on take-off Mustang parts; I usually plan to pay about half of retail for used parts that are in like-new condition; but you have to be patient and watch the adds for a while until the stuff that you want comes up.

From what I have heard, Pypes are cheap Chinese knock-offs; I think they are stainless but likely not the "good" stainless; could be a good option if the cheap Chinese knock-off thing does not bother you.

I believe that they're rebranded Borla Stingers.
