my new wheels

I pulled the trigger and ordered the wheels. I received them today and am a little worried. Maybe someone can help me out. I ordered 4 20x9.5 wheels. They are absolutely beautiful and I love them. The problem is when I measure outside to outside I get 10.5 wide. I message the vendor and they told me to measure inside of the lip to the inside of the lip. That did give me the 9.5 wide measurement but what I’m worried about the lip hitting when I install. I didn’t buy staggered just for the simple reason that I’m not rich by any means and would like to be able to rotate the tires. So do you measure inside to inside?

Hello, yes I believe that is correct. I looked this up online once. I believe the width should also be stamped on the wheel somewhere on the back.

Edit here is a pic of measurement.

Yup, wheel width is measured inside the bead flanges.
9.5s should be fine on all 4 corners unless the offset is something wildly different from stock. GT500s wheels are 9.5" wide with 45mm offset.

Thanks for the replies. They are Shelby wheels and the offset is +33. You’ve put my mind at ease.

I think that will put the wheel/tire way out at the edge of the fender, maybe sticking out a little, I'm a little surprised they didn't use more offset to tuck them in a little . . . hopefully they will be fine
