2007 Mustang gtcs covertible TOP problems

Just wanted to say iam new to the Mustang scene.I have been reading all your post and they have alot of information. So here's my problem my covertible top ripped right under the corner of the drivers window from the window constanly rubbing on it when i open the door.Iam getting a new top from Ford but beware all you convertible owners they are not recalling this problem. The window has to be adjusted so it won't hit,and ford has a new design the tops are now skinnier so the windows won't rub,Oh iam changing the color from beige to black, the beige also wears like crap only a year old and looks like poop, glad it ripped.

I am constantly watching my top with the weather stripping and the window going up into it and the door opening and the top going up and down. its all just a little too much wear and tear on a little piece of rubber if you ask me.....

My 05 has the same problem, driver's side rear corner catches the ribbing on the convertible top. Since my car is out of warranty, if anyone has a fix, short of putting a new top on, I would appreciate hearing about it.

When i went back to the dealer,They check all the tops on the lot and they all rubbed. You need to have your window adjusted by the dealer so it won't rub.As for you not being under warranty i would try anyway you might have to pay alittle for a new top and not the whole amount.
