I hear TCI is good and PI is also good. What stall are you planing on getting? 3,000-3,500rpm?

The one I’m using in my Mid-9 second mustang is Edge Racing converters. In my opinion they are the best, very street friendly too. I use transbrake Nitrous Launches at 4500rpms for the past 2 years and never had a problem with them. I talked with Andre a week ago from there and he said they will have a converter out by Mid Summer for the 05+ Mustangs. I'll be waiting for my 08 GT.

Very knowledgeable people there.

More than gears give you for sure. Some have cut a half a second on their 1/4 mile times with TC's. It's probably the best thing you can do to an N/A car. Are you planning on getting cams?

I had a PI converter in my 03 marauder. Started off with a 3000 stall and was great and then did a level 2 art car trans in it and had it upgraded to a 3500. They are great to work with. Sent it out on a tusday and had it back friday. The PI stall works very good. Everyday driving didnt seem any different on the street. Not sure on what stall you should go with. Everyone on the marauder forum seems to run the PI converter thats why I went with that. My marauder went 12.7 @ 107 with a 1.9 60' with the stock tires, spinning and letting off. Converter will really wake it up. Be sure to do your homework to see what seems to work the best with the stangs. Also, look into another trans cooler if you do the stall. Will help keep the temps down.

As for acceleration, It mainly gets you into the powerband quicker. Probably knock a half second off your 1/4 mile times. I am assuming.

I have a twin turbo car so your results might differ but.....

Orlando FFW race w/stock converter = 11.75 at 123 mph

Houston FFW race w/PI multi-disc 3500 converter = 11.23 at 125 mph

*All times were "deep staged"*

If you stay N/A you can go with the TCI converter. For a power adder I would strongly suggest using the PI multi-disc converter.

rule of thumb is to get your stall a little lower than peak torque. TCI and PI are the two most used for the Mustangs.

302 stroker, Saleen supercharger/supershaker,3.0 pulley,Comp 127300 with phaser limiters,60 lb. injectors,GT500 fuel pumps, JBA LT, JBA O/R Hpipe,Borla stingers,3:73 gears.

PI multi disc here----have been rewarded with a best 1.431 60' time. Also, the converter stays locked on the big end----the stock converter couldn't handle the power and started locking / unlocking on the dyno and on the track.

If you are considering any type of F/I or nitrous in the future, do it once and go with the multi disc.

Yes, you did. You pulled into the lanes right behind me on Friday afternoon. I explained that you needed to be in the bracket lanes instead of the five tenths pro tree lanes and you said, "Thanks." Then you backed out and pulled into the other lanes. I was wondering if you would recognize the car.

I was running in Ultra Stang. I also won Ultra Stang for the third year in a row at Houston Raceway Park. The Park is MINE.
