2007 Mustang Pinging After BBK CAI install

Installed a BBK cold air intake on a 2007 Mustang GT 5 speed. I usually run 87 octane but noticed pinging after the intall. Also at low RPM the car dosent seem to have the same power. The pinging is most pronounced shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. Tried checking for air leaks and tried higher octane gas. Any suggestions ?

Agree... Even though the BBK claims no tuned required, I've seen a few that caused the car to run lean.
