I have Shelby wheels stumped

I got my Carroll Shelby CS66 wheels yesterday and took them to get mounted today. We did a test fit and they do not clear the front brake calibers. I called my local Ford service department and they don't know. The company I bought them from called Shelby and they've never had this problem. They only clear the rear calibers by maybe 1/8 inch. Does anybody know if they put bigger calibers on the 2007's ????

there was another person on here with the same problem. i think they said they took a grinder to the caliper and took like an 1/8" off. you could but an 1/8" backspacer.

Sorry to hear that as I thought they cleared any factory caliper. The 2 things mentioned above will work and you only need the thickness of a playing card for the calipers and clearing the rim.....saw that on the speed channel..

I hate that your having a problem! No the calipers were not different on the 07's to my knowledge.

I had to do a little "messaging" with a grinder to put my Bogarts on my 07. I painted them afterwards and honestly they looked darn good! Nice and smooth!

Thought I had a picture but can't find it!

I agree totally. But on the other had, they should have found that out and made a change to there machining process to correct the problem.

IIRC, the '05 GT's front brake housings were a tad smaller than the following years. That's why 17x8 +12 o/s Raceline GTs only fit on the 05 fronts. Well, unless you want to do a little grinding.

I did some measuring,I laid a level acrossed the back of the rim and measured the backspace. It was between 6 6/16 and 6 5/16. They are suppose to be 6.4 or 162mm. My guess is they are not machined right. They only clear the back caliper by maybe 1/8 inch. If I put a 3mm or 5mm spacer on do I have to go with longer lug studs?

Are the V6 rear brake calipers smaller? If so you could change them out....
