ipod connection for 2005 Mustang shaker 500

Does anyone know of a way to connect my ipod to my shaker 500 in my 05 mustang? The strereo doesn't have an auxiliary input jack, but I thought I read a post somewhile back that there is some kind of aux iput on the back of the stereo and all you have to do is remove the stereo somehow to access it? Anyone hear anything about this?

Thanks for any advice

I use a Griffin iTrip FM Transmitter Most people will tell you it stinks, but once you find the perfect radio station there are no problems at all and the sound quality is great

I seem to recall that the Aux you are referring to is by disconnecting the CD player and connecting the IPOD to that.

I may be wrong however, it's been a while.

I also have a FM transmitter hardwired and no sound problems.

My 07 has an aux jack in the center console. Is that something they added over the 05's?

Yup, the 05 and 06 don't have it.
So I replaced the H/U.

I used the PIE FRD04-AUX adapter for the last 2 years...worked like a charm and easy install. Finally replaced my Shaker 1000 with a new HU and loving it

I looked into these adapters. I believe the best one to be the Brandmotion adaptor. It's plug & play, no wire splicing, uses the radio buttons to do all the functions. It looks super easy to install and when you push a button to do something, it reacts in 1/5 second. If I remember, they run like $160. That's the one I'm going with.
