Switching from Magnapacks to MACs is a problem

I believe my car has the Magnapack Cat-back and I just bought the axle back from MAC (didnt know it may be a whole cat back) I took one of the mufflers off and tried the MAC ad the pipe that goes to the cats would not properly align with the MAC muffler. I have a little jack so i could not jack it up enough for me to get all the way under the car and had no leverage to loosen the midpipe bolts. My question is, is it possible to use those pipes from the axle back to the cats if they came with a cat back from the magnaflows or am I going to have to trade someone for a stock pipe?

Those overaxle pipes may have to be replaced with OEM.

Yep buy new ones from Ford or find some one to trade with. I traded someone for the magnapacs then when I switched to the MACS I had to but the OEM pipes. Not terribly expensive.

ok for anyone wondering I did find the end all answer. The Catback IS different than the axle back. The mufflers are different on each application although both are called magnapacks. The Cat back has a short cupped tip and the axle back only has a longer tip. So I need to trade out with someones stock over axle pipes or find a used set somewhere. I do not think I should spend $140 for the Pypes as I do not think they would be any better than stock except stainless. Thanks for the replies and I hope this helps the net person with this issue.

Try a salvage yard for the pipes.
