Starting to jerk a bit in my 2006 Mustang GT Automatic

06 GT Auto

I started to notice a slight jerk when downshifting. It happens in all gears. Is this normal or a sign of something bad to come?

Need more info, Are you talking about forced downshifts such as pulling it back into a lower gear with the shifter or are you talking about normal downshifting as you slow to a stop?

I don't know how hard the miles are on your tranny but I would guess that a change of oil and filter would be in order.
Be sure to check the pan closely for metal shavings or particles and if that is the case it sounds like the tranny might be due for overhaul.
Good Luck!
