2006 Mustang GT Brake Question

Are the anti rattle clips on the brake pads necessary? If not I think I'm going to leave them off of my new pads. On a side note I would not recommend buying the MGP Caliper Covers. The clips did not seat right and were rubbing the top of my new rotors, and they don't completely cover the caliper. In my opinion its a waste of $200.

i would suggest using them since they hold the pad in place. If the pad is allowed to move around it will result in noise, brake pull/drift, poor brake pad wear and excessive rotor wear. You may not get any of those symptoms listed but i have seen them all happen to vehicles with out the rattle clips. I reccommend replcaing the clips with every brake job. Motorcraft brake pads come with the hardware also...
