shaker 1000/500 system

Ok I know nothing about it. 2007 GT/CS, the original radio was bad, so I replaced some things, plugged in a shaker 500 radio and it made noise. The two sub woofers in the trunk don't make noise. Is the module inside the right quarter bad, the four amps back there or the shaker 500 radio not activating the trunk equipment? Anyone have any ideas? :?:

If you have the two subs in the trunk then the car either came with the Shaker 1000 or someone added them later. The 500 system might not be able to operate them. The factory systems are touchy and don't play well with others, you might need the 1000 head unit.

Forged bottom end, Ported heads, Saleen super charger, 2.8 blower pulley/15psi, Dual stage water to air intercooler, AFCO heat exchanger, battery relocated, Twin GT500 fuel pumps, T-56 trans, Aluminum flywheel, Aluminum driveshaft, 3.73 rear gears, Eaton TruTrac Diff, TA Performance rear end girdle, Racecraft suspension system, UCA, LCA, panhard bar, 15" slotted front rotors w/ 6 piston calipers, Carbon Fiber front splitter/rear diffuser, and bunch of other stuff
RWHP/RWTQ is adequate

Thank you, wrong or otherwise, I found a used 1000 radio and have it coming Friday. Yep, it came with the 1000 system. We didn't get it in the wife's GT/CS, so I don't have a parts car for testing. So I'm guessing, thanks for the help !

I had a similar issue with the '03 I had. the head unit wouldn't work with the stock speakers.

I'm hoping, the car was swimming once, so I've got some issues I never dreamed of, but I did save one from the crusher. The skydiving line is great !

Well it's not the fall that hurts, it's the sudden stop at the end that sucks.
