2008 Mustang GT Tires/rims?

Hi....I have a 2008 GT. I have 17" premium painted cast aluminum wheels. I was thinking of going with bigger tires on the back. Anyone have any suggestions how big or any experiences with certain size tires on back. Any suggestions on rims????

255/50 tires will fit the stock wheels with no problems. Anything larger is getting too wide for the stock wheels.

negative. optimum fitment for a 8 inch wide rim is 235. 255 is too big for an all season tire.

You can run full DR on them and get them like this however, but DR's are different then regular tires in terms of fitment

Silver Bullitt Drag Pack (two 17" wheels & two ET Street Tires)

i suggest going to Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels and playing around with tires that will fit your rims.

I think staggered 18x9 and 18x10 on our cars look great, but the only down fall is that you won't be able to rotate them, but I decided to go that route anyway.

I just 18 x 9.5's for my 06 GT. 255/45ZR18's on the front and 285/40ZR18's on the back. They are GT500 take offs with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercars. I like them.

I know American Muscle has some good 2010 GT500 looking 18x9's at a great price and they will fit the 255/45 18's all the way around.

I'm actually thinking about going staggered 20" rims. Any thoughts?

Look at my profile. That's about as big as you can go with off the shelf wheels and still fit inside the fenders with no rubbing. I'm dropped a bit too.

This is ass big as you can go with rear wheels and almost for the fronts.

20x9.5 front with 275's

20x11's in the rear with 315's
