2005 Mustang gt Steering pops at low speed turns

I have a 05 GT about 40k miles and at low speed turns something pops on the front end once. it doesnt matter which way i turn but it will pop only once then again on next turn. Anybody know what the cause is and how to fix it?

Welcome to AFM.:wavey you found the right place, those forms will come in handy and help you out at anytime you need some. I would say it's your tie rod ends going out.

Have you lowered the car at all? The factory strut bearings are plastic and will fail pretty easily. You might be talking about a different noise but I had the popping sound after lowering mine and under warranty had the bearings replaced. It worked for a year or so and now the popping is back. I need to invest in some nice Strut mount/ CC plates that should help solve it.:bigthumbsup

Welcome... Almost certainly strut mounts. They were a problem on the 2005s.

Low speed front end popping = strut mounts 99% of the time.
